When I realized I wasn’t as athletically gifted as some of my peers, I figured broadcasting sports would be the next best thing to actually playing them. I began learning the craft in high school, serving as both a play-by-play and color commentator for all four years as a member of the school’s television station, RVTV. I called football, boys soccer, boys and girls basketball, boys and girls lacrosse, baseball, and softball prior to graduating in 2015.
I decided to attend a local community college, Rowan College at Burlington County, following high school. During my two years as a Baron, I got involved with the college radio station, Z88.9 FM. In addition to a weekly two-hour format music show, I hosted a weekly one-hour sports show discussing local, regional, and national sports.
After transferring to Monmouth University for the Fall 2017 semester following my time at RCBC, I transitioned to co-hosting a daily morning sports talk show for the college’s radio station, WMCX 88.9 FM, airing 7-8 AM from Monday-Friday. I also began broadcasting live sports again. During my time as a Hawk, I was on the call in play-by-play and color roles for football, men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, softball, and high school field hockey.
